Air: Oliva is almost midway between Valencia (75kms) and Alicante (100kms), both have international airports. There are coaches from the airports into the coach stations, where you can take a coach onto Oliva. While you are staying in Oliva, it is best to hire a car so you can investigate the enchanting mountains behind the town. From Oliva you need to get to Gandia, just over three miles away (you can go by local bus), where it takes an hour to be deposited right in the center of the delightful Cathedral town of Valencia. When you get into the train station, don't forget to look up as the walls are dripping with fabulous ceramic tiles of oranges. You can also go south to Denia, about 3 miles away by local bus, and from there down the coast towards Alicante taking in Altea and Calpe on the way.
